Impala Appoints Julian Walker as Chief Operating Officer

Impala, the global terminals operator that provides port, warehousing and multi-modal logistics services for the movement of essential commodities, has announced the appointment of Julian Walker to the role of Chief Operating Officer.

In his new role Julian will be responsible for managing Impala’s operations, which span a network of over 50 terminals in more than 30 countries. The company specialises in providing port, LME and non-LME warehouse facilities and multi-modal logistics services that give access to markets and new opportunities.

Julian Walker has 15 years senior management experience in the Marine and Ports sector. He has held senior management roles at an operating asset and corporate level for P&O Ports, DP World and the Euroports Group in Europe, Australia and the UK. Julian has also held a number of Chairman and Directorship roles and has a MBA from the Said Business School, Oxford University.

Impala is an ambitious business,” Julian Walker said. “It has a strong growth plan and has the ability to follow it.” He went onto explain that what really excites him about the role is the way Impala is breaking down the traditional restrictions in the supply chain. “Impala offers its customers end-to-end logistics from the point of supply to the point of delivery. This is the way that global supply is moving and Impala is leading the field. These are the reasons I am excited to be joining the organisation.
