Impala Terminals rolls out electronic documentation with essDOCS starting with its Spanish operations

Impala Terminals, the global terminals operator that provides port, warehousing and multi-modal logistics services for the movement of essential commodities, has chosen to implement an electronic documentation solution starting with its new state-of-the-art metals concentrate terminal in Huelva, Spain to further strengthen and streamline financial and operational controls.

 

essDOCS, the leading enabler of paperless trade, has created a bespoke electronic Holding Certificate which enables Impala Terminals Huelva to issue an electronic document confirming to customers or financing banks that concentrate is being stored at the Terminal. The essDOCS solution will replace the paper-based system currently in place at the facility, digitizing and automating manual processes to create significant efficiencies for Impala’s Huelva terminal.

 

This is part of an initiative to streamline processes and reduce risk while improving working practices, compliance and visibility,” said Nicolas Konialidis, CEO, Impala Terminals. “We are introducing this new service for our Huelva terminal with the intention to roll the system out across our operations in South America and beyond.
