Impala Terminals Rotterdam has officially obtained Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification - an international recognised quality label granted by customs authorities to companies that demonstrably meet strict criteria in Customs compliance, transparency, controlled and reliable processes.

For our team it’s the result of nearly two years of preparation, audits, process optimisations, and close collaboration between logistics, operations, IT & operational technology, and finance teams to design and implement specialised and purpose-built systems. The permit was presented to the team by the Dutch Customs authority in a ceremony to mark the milestone.

AEO status also strengthens the terminal’s position within the global trade ecosystem. It brings significant advantages though faster and smoother trade and reduced physical inspections, reduced operational risks through strict compliance requirements, and a certification that reinforces its reputation as a reliable and secure supply chain partner.
